The blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony held last February 19, 2021, at the Camarines Norte Irrigation Management Office (CNIMO) headed by Acting IMO Manager, Engr. Carol L. Rañola was graced by the 2nd District Representative, Cong. Mirasol “Toots” Panotes, Daet Provincial Agriculturist, Engr. Almirante C. Abad, and NIA Regional Manager, Engr. Freddie M. Toquero, Ph.D., together with the NIA Regional Office No. 5 officials. The occasion started with a holy mass led by Rev. Fr. Omar C. Oco, followed by the ceremonial ribbon-cutting and blessing of CNIMO’s renovated motor pool.

In a short program, Cong. Panotes delivered her message of support to NIA’s undertakings and projects which are essential to the continuous production of rice in the region. Engr. Abad in his speech said that in the current situation of the agricultural industry, particularly in Camarines Norte, the convergence of the line agencies and LGUs played a major role in securing rice sufficiency especially in this time of pandemic. NIA Regional Manager Freddie M. Toquero on the other hand commended the CNIMO, headed by Engr. Rañola for the improvement of structures and facilities for the betterment of services to its client-beneficiaries. Also present in the occasions were: EOD Manager, Engr. Seema S.
