The National Irrigation Administration Camarines Norte IMO in coordination with Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) successfully turned-over the Batobalani CIS to Submakin Batobalani Communal Irrigators Association, Brgy. Batobalani, Paracale, Camarines Norte.
The ceremonial turnover, despite heavy rains, was attended by Mr. Ricardo C. Lopez, NIA Division Manager- IDD CARP IC, Ms. Maria Theresa C. Lee, Supervising IDO, Engr. Allen Christopher Agtarap, Sr. Engineer A, Ms. Alicia A. Almacin, DAR- PBDD, Engr. Emma A. Manlagñit, Chief Operations and Maintenance Section, Engr. Carol L. Rañola, CNIMO Manager, Hon. Nelson N. Dasco, Barangay Captain, Ms. Elsa E. Quimson, IA President, IA leaders and members.
The project was funded under CY 2021 under CARP- IC amounting to P5, 000,000.00 which includes the repair of corewall dam, construction of elevated flume, construction of rectangular canal lining and checkgate, serving 40 hectares of ricefield with 55 farmer beneficiaries.
The farmer beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the national government for their continuous support and for the improvement of irrigation systems. The IA, on the other hand, commits to undertake the operation and maintenance of the system.
